As Indie88’s in-house copywriter/producer for 2.5 years, I was lucky to work with some of the most creative minds in the radio industry. During my time at the Toronto indie rock station, I worked alongside award-winning production veterans Dave Cockram and Kyle Taylor, as well as some of Toronto’s best voiceover talent. I wrote ads for local retailers, international beer brands and car dealerships, got to meet my favourite bands and saw enough live music to fill 10 lifetimes. I even contributed to the Indie88 blog with such gems as “These are Toronto’s Most Popular Dog Names“.

In addition to writing commercials, I was instrumental in creating the station’s overall branding on-air, including station promotions, imaging, and seasonal content. I was lucky to win four Crystals with Indie88 for excellence in radio creative, going against entries from advertising agencies and other radio stations across Canada.
