I got on my bike today and the wind took me to the breakwater where the water breaks and the people walk along the cement barrier that stretches out to the lighthouse in the middle of the harbour and people are learning to scuba dive with the Olympic Mountains in the distance and as I sit having an americano and a scone outside the cafe a snaggle tooth man with wild hair and rosy cheeks walks up and asks if he can say something to me and I say sure and he says “I’m going I’m going wherever the wind is blowing” and I say that’s a good way to go and he says “I’m going wherever the whiskey is flowing” and walks into the cafe and it’s just funny how the wind took us both this way.
