A Radical Act of Hope podcast, with Siila Watt-Cloutier

A Radical Act of Hope Podcast – Showrunner

A Radical Act of Hope is a five-part limited series exploring the remarkable life and work of Inuk climate and human rights advocate Siila Watt-Cloutier.

Siila is one of the most important climate justice voices of our time. Her work with the Inuit Circumpolar Council helped get the Stockholm Convention signed, ratified and enforced in record time. It’s one of the most successful UN treaties that has ever been made to protect the environment by banning the “dirty dozen”––the persistent organic pollutants that contaminate food and human bodies. She then went on to pioneer linking climate change and human rights in a way that has completely revamped how the world thinks about climate change.

Produced by Everything Podcasts in collaboration with the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS) at the University of Victoria, the podcast features Siila in conversation with Janna Wale and Ian Mauro from PICS, as well as guest appearances by Indigenous women leaders who have inspired Siila.

I was honoured to work on planning and development for this show, as well as show running, which included on-site podcast recording at Haus of Owl in Victoria.
